When childhood senses begin to return
People sometimes tell me after a session, “I feel a little like I did as a child.” They remain fully adult, yet a way of sensing that once came naturally has started working again.
What once felt ordinary
Many children know that someone is in a bad mood before a word is spoken, or feel the weight of a room the moment they enter it. I was that kind of child. I received what could not be seen directly through the body.
As we grow, we learn to rely on what can be explained. This is useful at school and work. Vague information such as atmosphere is gradually put into a box labeled imagination. Sometimes the box stays closed so long that we forget how to open it.
How the return can feel
After several sessions, the lid may loosen. Coffee has a fuller scent one morning. In a crowd, you notice sooner how much of the surrounding mood you are taking in. During a conversation, the feeling beneath the words becomes easier to sense.
These are small changes in the detail of ordinary life. I do not see them as a new supernatural power. They feel more like reconnecting with a capacity that was already present. A session can clear some of what has gathered over it, as cleaning a clouded window lets the same view enter more clearly.
One of the sessions I mean here is DNA Activation®. What it involves is described on that page.
The return can also be tiring at first because more information is being received. Grounding helps adjust the amount. Bring attention to the feet, the weight of the body, and the length of the exhale. Sensitivity and the ability to remain steady can grow together.
For me, the return of childhood senses means bringing back a part of oneself that was set aside, now held alongside the steadiness of adult life. It is a mature return, with more choice about what to receive and how to respond.
